The key to any successful blog is keeping things interesting.   If people learn a little bit along the way, then so much the better, but a lively and interesting blog is always better.  I’m going to throw my blog in the ring.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel this complex, beautiful, and raw world, and I’d like to share my experiences.  I ask that you not be impressed, but instead that your perspectives would be broadened and would lead to more travel in your future.

Additionally, I’d like to include practical advice about how I’ve gamed the frequent flyer system and have done many of these trips paying little or nothing out of my pocket, as well as share cheap flights I find through my own research and that of others.

There are many incredible bloggers in the frequent flyer world.  There are people who have been in the game for 10+ years, compared to my two.  I’ve leaned on them and they’ve been happy to share their experience and wisdom with me.  I am not starting this blog to be a competitor against them, but rather to supplement their incredible knowledge to my personal and professional networks.

I promise three things:

  1. I will ALWAYS give credit where it is due.
  2. I will ALWAYS mention if I have received compensation or consideration (free rooms, etc.) when reviewing flights and hotels.
  3. I will ALWAYS appreciate and value any feedback or questions you have for me.

DISCLAIMER: Dave Ramsey would hate this blog.  Most of the really good deals come from credit card signup bonuses.  If you do not have good credit, that doesn’t mean you’re a bad person or anything, trust me, but if you’re hurting credit-wise, it may not be best to do some of the things I recommend.  I take absolutely no responsibility for any decisions you make as a result of the information I provide, which is just that: information.  What you choose to do with that information is up to you.  Be responsible and don’t get in over your head.
