Good morning! I’m in New York for a couple of days (for work) and went out to Central Park for the sunrise today. The Gapstow Bridge is in the southeast corner of the park over a small lake. I love it because if you capture the angle right it’s almost as if you’re not in a massive metropolis. I had taken some good pictures of it last year and wanted to try again today. Pretty happy with the result!

Awesome shot! It certainly looks like any place but Manhattan!
Thanks Charlie!
I am thinking of running in the park (i.e. central park) tonight, if you want a tour of the park at night. Alternatively, if you want a tour of my courthouse, contact me.
Thanks Kathy! I need to check my schedule as I might have a client dinner tonight but I’ll let you know!
Great shot Andy. Does not look like the centre of one of the busiest cities in the world.
Let us know the photographic details, including any post processing, when you get the time.

This was shot with a 3-stop ND filter on top of a circular polarizer, I think it ended up being 1/25 of a second at f8, ISO 100. I did my normal Lightroom workflow and then beefed up the contrast in Nik Color Efex Pro 4
great shot Andy – how come nobody ever offers me a tour of the city ;(
I’m only a 22 hour flight away
