I was going to try and come up with some super creative name for this one, but the Grand Canyon needs  no other adjective.  I’ll spare you the story of how I drove like a madman from southern Arizona for 5.5 hours straight to get here with literally minutes to spare (actually that’s the entire story).  I cannot wait to go back and visit this amazing place in such a way that does it justice!

So here we are, I call this one South Rim.

For the photographers: This one was actually tough to get right in post-production because of the composition.  I normally don’t like having the horizon in the middle like that but it was the only composition I could find where there was a foreground element (the bushes on the lower left).  Anyway, this was at 16mm and was a 2.5 second exposure at f11, ISO 50, processed in Lightroom and Nik Color Efex Pro 4 with some High Pass sharpening applied in photoshop to the lower right.
