I pulled onto the hilltop and turned off the engine. I had been driving for a while and was sure the car needed to breathe. I think I needed to breathe as well. This wasn’t any hilltop, after all. It was my favorite hilltop in the world. As I opened the door I was greeted with crisp mountain air as the memories of my visits in 2010 and 2013 came back. The view was as good as I remembered. Are you ready for another trip report from Andy? You’re not?! Well, it’s happening. I managed to encounter quite a few random and hilarious moments along the way during my trip to Europe over the weekend.
I generally pride myself on being a solid speller and grammaristicianizationer. I will happily admit, however, that ‘spontaneity’ is one of those words that just never looks quite right, no matter if it’s spelled correctly or not. Whenever I plan trips, there needs to be an element of “epicness” to them, or else I won’t go. There has to be something that compels me to either the journey or the destination. Spontaneity can be very compelling, especially to a place that has your heart.
