Welcome to the new and improved Andy’s Travel Blog! You’ll hopefully appreciate the clean new look. We’re also more closely integrated with the prior2boarding and BoardingArea networks to make it easier for you to find great content from some of my favorite travel bloggers. Note: if you’re not seeing the new layout, please press CTRL+F5 on a PC or CMD+F5 on a Mac, this will pull in the new format. There will be some housekeeping items to come in the days ahead, and I thank you for your patience while the dust settles. You may have to re-register to leave comments, but I promise it will be worth it! I have a huge week of posts coming to celebrate the new look, so stay tuned!

Although I have no one specific benefit related to frequent flier loyalty program miles and points for which I am thankful, I am truly thankful for all of the travel I have already accomplished in my life — and eager for more in the future… Jen (one of my favorite bloggers) from Jetsetter’s Homestead: I’m thankful for the gift and grace of travel. Andy goes to Lake Bled in Slovenia. On his journey he manages to make a fool out of himself on multiple occasions and wonders whether he was meant to be a tourist or not. Featuring deer, Slovene policemen, and a lovely mountain lake.
Andy talks about the new Etihad Airways Alliance and wonders if it’s all just a bunch of marketingspeak or if we’re actually looking at a 4th major airline alliance.
