For those of you who don’t know, I have a YouTube channel for the blog, located here:
I try to post a variety of videos, from trip vlogs to photography gear reviews and even some photo editing tutorials. Here are some of my favorite videos:
How to find my favorite sunrise spot in Hong Kong
My ultimate product test of the Bluffworks travel pants
Riding to the Peninsula Hong Kong in a Rolls Royce!
Swimming in the infinity pool at Marina Bay Sands
Yesterday YouTube announced that they would be cutting monetization and the opportunity for YouTube creators with smaller followings (like me) unless they reached a threshold of 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of viewtime in the past 12 months. I’m fine on the viewing time but I need 200 people to subscribe to the YouTube channel. Please click here, check out a video or two, and subscribe to my channel please! It’s not like YouTube brings in a ton of money per month for me but I do have a few videos which do decently well and a few shekels never hurt so I’d like to keep that revenue stream alive if I can.
More importantly, though, I want to make sure I’m putting videos out there which resonate with my blog readers. I have some ideas about what I’d like to do with the channel and where I would like to see it go, could you respond to the below poll and leave some comments about what you’d like to see on the channel (feel free to add other answers)?
